Notes: Naks aud - Good sound and a "hot" show as they say with lots of rockers. Double encore to boot

I like this run of shows at KC, and the band delivers a double encore which I think means they had a good time this night as well. Besides just overall good playing, the jam out of Saint into drums is not typical. Check it out.

Notes: sbd - great mix if you like Phil and Brent! Set 1 is a bit short as there seem to be some equipment issues. There is some funny chat while they are waiting for things to get fixed like "If we were to play a song, what would it be?" Good playing and lots of energy starting with a Jack Straw and ending with a China > Rider. Set 2 begins with a Shakedown / Samson combo. Shakedown isn't jammed out. Terrapin is standard but instead of the usual PITB they go into Lost Sailor which maintains the relaxed melodic flow. Lost Sailor comes to a more or less complete stop then Brent starts the Saint theme on the keyboards and the others join in. After finishing Sait they go into a jam based on the Estimated theme, which ends again with Brent doing some good keyboard with theh drummers. After a short drums the remaining show is good but standard NFA > Peter > Sugar, with a double encore of Alabama > Promised. This is a very good board of a strng show which should be on the list of shows to hear from 79.

Notes: sbd - upgrade ~ 1/2006 with Jack Straw complete. This would be the preferred version. See my previous comments on the preceeding source. (this one differes in only one track) [2006-02-24]

Notes: flac16; SBD + AUD Matrix (60%-SBD/40%-AUD) Mixed by Dan Haugh [2008-08-03]This is another fine matrix job by Dan of a strong 1979 show. All the shows played at KC this year were in the top quartile. Starting with a Jack Straw and finishing with the a strong but unusually placed C>R set 1 offers up a good mix of what the band was playing at this time. Set 2 is very good with some interesting jams (Saint Jam, Estimated Jam and the Brent/drum interlude).
