Easily the best AUD from '81 I've heard and much clearer than the SBD's from that year. Bass is weak, though...you have to crank your bass knob. It must have been weak at the show as well, b/c it gets louder toward the end of the first set. This recording couldn't have been far behind the board. Band starts out slow (Jack Straw gets flubbed), and if it weren't for Brent ripping it open during CC Rider, I'm not sure if they would have ever turned it 'on.' Nevertheless, the rest of the show rips. A nice Deep Elem rare electric. Top 3 Truckin'. Excellent show overall. Recording 3.5 stars (just for lack of bass in first set), performance 4 stars (for slow start). Average rating = 3.75. Overall a must-have show for '81. | |||||
