Notes: sbd - the TC rates this as the best show of this Port Chester run. set 1 through the start of set 2 comes across as a series of well performed songs but lacking the emotion of a special show. Having the Morning Dew mid set 1 is atypical but it doesn't add much value to the set by doing this. Sound quality is good. Being the best show of a not very good run doesn't capapult this one into the must hear list. In its favor, set 2 has a trong finishing set list, TOO, Wharf Rat, GSET, Good Lovin, NFA, GDTRFB, JBG. The emotional level of the playing is low. I happened to listen to 8/14/71 next and the opening Bertha of that date provides a good contrast in stronger delivery .

Notes: flac116; Recording Info:SBD -> Master Reel -> CD; Transfer Info: CD -> Samplitude Professional v11.1 -> Adobe Audition v3.0 -> FLAC; All Transfers and Mastering By Charlie Miller [2010-11-07]Fairly coherent sets with very good sound and mix. No special mentions though.

Notes: sbd [2008-03-01] This source entered circulation 2/07. Per the info file "This is an upgrade to previously circulating source because, though the same 8000kHz ringing tone existed on this source as shnid 113, the tone was carefully removed, No Noise Reduction software was employed. The sound difference is noticable." This performance suffers from little set coherence - each song is delivered as they might practice it in a studio. Interesting how Morning Dew appeared in set 1 in this time frame. Set 2 has the oft played Truckin > TOO > Rat and NFA>GDTRFB>NFA. Also featured is Bird Song and GSET in its early style and a Good Lovin' sans Pig rap.

Still most likely of interest for collectors.
