Notes: aud - First show after Hiatus, and I would have expected something a bit more polished. Definitely laid back, a tad lackluster, and some flubs here n' there. Least energetic version of Help > Slip > Frank's I've heard, although the way Slip is played is so different from what you later hear that it is historically interesting. Debuts of Lazy > Supplication, Samson, Might as Well, Wheel. Show rating gets a boost for historical significance. Sound is FOB excect there are some channel drop outs that mar it a bit, despite my atempts to clean it up. [Note: I created a shn set w/ de-emphasis. This seemed to match the spectral sound other auds sourced around 6/2003 direct from the master cassettes, suggesting that Dolby might have been used on the originals but not decoded in the transfer to DAT.] This is a different source than the Pat Lee aud, less audience noise and sounds closer to the PA so maybe its from front of balcony.

Notes: Pat Lee aud - overall pretty good sound. It changes in a few places - don't know if he moved around, changed mic position, but basically this is a very listenable source. This show is laidback, somewhat typical for the 76 sound but perhaps a bit more so because this is the first public performance in a long time with lots of new material. Highlights are a good Scarlet with prominent thumpy Phil, and a very good Slipknot with some brief (few bars) teases of TOO and some Garcia lines that sound similar to some 72 Truckin jams from the E72 tour. Not a strong show from 76 - I'd place it near the middle.

But man do they play these songs with a slow tempo. For that I can't say I got any long lasting buzz from this performance. Nice matrix however.
